Light Therapy

There can be many benefits to directing LED Light Therapy onto the skin on a regular basis. Treatments include; skin cell regeneration and repair, reducing signs of aging, soothing inflamed and sensitive skin and redness, improving microcirculation and blood flow, providing more oxygen and nutrients to the skin, diminishing acne, accelerating the wound healing process, easing arthritic and muscular fatigue pain, balancing skin tone and joint pain.

The ’nm’ refers to ‘nanometres’, which is a wavelength of light. The number is the distance between the wavelengths which fall within the red light spectrum, which are not visible to the naked eye. The wave lengths can have effects on cellular function promoting healing. The higher the 'nm' number, the deeper the wave lengths penetrate the skin.
Red Light

Red Light (630-660nm): Promotes healthy aging, reducing wrinkles and fine lines, and relieving dark circles. It has anti-inflammatory qualities, helping to reduce inflammation and oedema, aids with pain relief, helps tissue fluid from building up on the surface of wounds, and can help in the reduction of scars, psoriasis and acne.
Green Light

Green light (550nm): Can help to eliminate depression, relax nerves and diminish spots and blackheads, aid metabolic disorders caused by fatigue and nervousness, and promote healthier sleep. It can also help balance pigment and reduce redness, promoting the release of healing factors.
Blue Light

Blue light (460nm): Suitable for allergic, oily skin, helping to promote protein and collagen synthesis, calms sensitive and inflamed skin, can improve microcirculation and blood flow, helps diminish acne and aids the healing of wounds. It has the potential to tighten skin and stretch marks, relax nerves and relieve pain.
Yellow Light

Yellow light (590nm): Stimulates the production of red blood cells, helping the skin cells rejuvenate and heal. Can help desensitise the skin and inhibit pigmentation helping to lighten and diminish freckles and skin marks and brightens skin colour. Can help with the accelerated recovery of wounds and ulcers. Helps reduce skin redness, rosacea and irritation, and helps improve lymphatic flow aiding in the removal of skin toxins.
Cyan Light

Cyan Light (490nm): Can help to boost metabolism, and improve thyroid function, helps increase lack of appetite, and stimulates the production of collagen and elastin in the skin. It can help reduce the appearance of swollen capillaries, can provide surface pain relief and soothe skin irritation. Can help reduce inflammation and redness and kill acne bacteria.
Purple Light

Purple Light (420nm): Can help to improve dull skin, increase blood flow and collagen production, can assist in inhibiting over production of sebum, tightens skin and can help reduce inflammation. It can also help eliminate acne bacteria, and can reduce facial inflammation. Could also give a more youthful appearance, helping skincare products absorb more deeply into the skin.
